Questions to help Startup Development and Structure

Right up front, we have to say, the Brandings Team knows a little something about developing, building and launching a startup.

How can we be so confident?  Because you’re here and reading this, right?

Keeping the concept of Brandings in mind, first we built the brand name, second, we organized the ownership structure, followed by developing the identity and logo, you see today.  If you’re here at our site, and like what you see, then we can be a help to you.  Moreover, our team has helped other entrepreneurs do the same for their startup.  Heck, we’ve even been called in to rescue a few troubled startups.

Throughout these experiences we’ve identified some pretty clear patterns.  Interestingly we’ve found patterns in both startup successes and startup failures.  These patterns helped our team identify the characteristics of failed ventures and the winners.

Based on that information, we’ve developed questions that every entrepreneur should be able to answer.  This list of Startup Development and Structure Questions should trigger discussion and even more questions. The time you spend now could make the difference between success and failure.

Without developing the structure of your startup, your new venture will be as solid as a jellyfish.

Seven Questions to help Winning Startup Development and Structure:
structure and development for startups
  1. Have you selected a name that can be expressed clearly, consistently and cohesively to all client stakeholder groups and across all brand touch-points?
  2. Is the name unique and differentiated?
  3. Are there any trademark issues with your name selection?
  4. Have you secured the dot-com domain name?
  5. Have you developed a corporate identity and logo consistent with your vision and mission?
  6. How is the ownership of the business to be structured? (sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, limited liability corporation)
  7. Are there royalty or licensing agreements that impact the startup?

Again, these questions are designed to spur conversation and help you develop even more questions specific to your startup and industry.  Don’t get overwhelmed, and never forget, the Brandings Team is here to help.  Our Team provides a series of products and services to help a fledgling startup get off on the right foot.

Finally, if you have any questions, let us know, post it below.  We believe, that if one entrepreneur has a question, another one will be thinking the same.  We’ll answer your posted questions in public so everyone can hear, join in, and learn together!
