Thanks for the blog but what exactly is a domain name? I read that computers only read 0’s and 1’s so what is this name, I guess I’m a bit confused.
Well you’re right, computers are only able to numbers and computers don’t read domain names they are only for us. Your computer only reads the Internet Protocol or IP Address and those address are given letters for our benefit. Which is easier for you to remember, 75l.29.2828.398 or Brandings.com?

Ha, that’s so funny. I never realized how many domain name extensions there are out there! Kind of crazy and now I see what you’re talking about why com is so important.
We know and the funny thing is that there are more and more domain extensions. Now there are all of the above and you can commission the ICANN for new ones. It’s kind of interesting that you can say buy your name or .hotel or something interesting like that.
Now with more and more domain extensions, it has really cemented .com as the go to or the most desired domain extension. You can tell someone in a commercial or on a business card that you are .table but people are going to think you are “brad.table.com” it’s very confusing. We suggest always going with the .com
